John Wesley is a longtime member of the SFN Council, having served as both Chief and as a Councillor at different points over the past two decades. He sits on five committees for our nation, including Administration, Douglas Treaty, Health (Chair), and Legislation and Policy. In addition to the Council committee’s he is a member of, John’s political experience has been put to work by SFN in aboriginal organizations where he represents the nation. He is the President of the Coast Salish Education and Training Society, the Co-Chair of Inter-tribal Health Authority, and regularly represents our nation at the Union of BC Indian Chiefs
