Emmy Manson is a proud Snuneymuxw member dedicated to developing strong leadership and equal representation to the diversity of voices in the community.

With several years experience as a Manager of Wellness and Mental Health with the Inter Tribal Health Authority, Emmy brings a wealth of experience in serving the needs of families and developing open and inclusive communication.

Emmy’s parents are Dean Manson and Fay Thomas and she was blessed to be raised by her late grandmother Emily Manson. Emmy has learned the importance of connecting traditional culture with daily life and the value of a strong living language in the community.

Grateful to be serving on Council, Emmy is striving to engage the Snuneymuxw Mustimuxw in every way she can. It is important to her that all voices are heard and everyone in the community feels they are a part of the process - working together for common goals - as individuals, families, and as a Nation.

A member of the Longhouse and thankful for traditional knowledge, Emmy has always valued all forms of education and works to ensure higher education is accessible to everyone in the community. She has completed a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and is working towards a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria.

Emmy and husband Al White are proud to be raising two children together, Jessie and Trey.
